When I start my computer, it hangs and sometimes it gives us BSOD message. At times some unusual sounds produce from the speaker and also give memory management and IRQL_Not_Equal errors; and finally it freezes. Can you tell me a solution about BSOD and freezing computer?
After analyzing your problem, I will direct you to use memory diagnostic tool available in windows; you may use it as directed.
- After starting the tool, it will let you to select one of the two options. First option is “restart now I check for problems” and the second is “check for problems the next time I start my computer”; so select restart option.
- When you select restart it may take some time to check your PC memory. After checking your PC, windows will restart. And the error will show to you when the computer starts again and contact the manufacturers to resolve the issue as computer normally shows problems regarding the memory chips or some hardware issue.
- Another way is that when the Diagnostic tool starts press F1.
- Now it depends on you that what kind of test you want to do. There are several tests: Basic, standard and extended.
- There are also some additional options in the tool. One is cache; in cache there are three options: default, on or off. While beyond cache, there is Pass count. In pass count you will type the numbers that how much time you want to perform the test.
- To start the test press F10.
- While another way is to start the memory diagnoses test manually.
- Go to start and click control panel.
- Now click Diagnose your computer's memory problems.
- You will be asked for administrator password. Enter password there.
- Start the tool.
